Tammy V. Chavez is an attorney with Emens Wolper Jacobs Jasin Law Firm Co., LPA. Her primary areas of practice include Wills/Trusts/Estate Planning and Family Business. Before joining EWJJ, Tammy worked at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in the Charitable Law Section and Executive Agencies Section. While in Charitable Law, Tammy focused on civil investigations and enforcement involving charitable trusts and fiduciary duties, gambling, and charitable fundraising. Tammy also represented the State of Ohio in probate matters involving charitable assets such as the termination or reformation of charitable trusts and will contests. In Executive Agencies, Tammy represented several state agencies and commissions in administrative proceedings and state court actions.

Tammy is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Columbus Bar Association.  In 2021, Tammy completed the Ohio State Bar Association Leadership Academy.

Tammy received her B.A. in Social Work with honors from the University of Cincinnati. She earned her Juris Doctorate cum laude from the University of Dayton, where she served as the business editor and a staff writer for the University of Dayton Law Review.

Prior to moving to Columbus, Tammy lived in Dayton, Ohio with her family. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, and volunteering.
